Here is an overview of three relatively cheap HD TV models that do deliver what they promise:

1. Panasonic TX-P42G10

This 42 Inch Full 1080p Freesat Plasma TV has a stunning 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio with a native contrast ratio of 40,000:1. The 600Hz technology makes it capable of displaying still and motion images at the 1920×1080 resolution. The G12 Progressive Full-HD NeoPDP technology allows to achieve never seen before black reproduction. Panasonic TX-P42G10 also comes with a memory card reader, remote controllable V-audio Surround, 3 x HDMI inputs and a PC input. The lowest price we found this baby for is $899 at Amazon.com, which is an incredible deal given the capabilities of this model.

2. Sharp LC-46SB54U

This 46 inch Full HD LCD TV does not have as much to offer as the Panasonic TX-P42G10, but considering the size of the display it is really worth to have look at it, especially at the price of $799. Sharp LC-46SB54U is Energy Star Qualified, has a dynamic contrast of 7500:1, two HDMI Inputs and a Pc input. While certainly not in the same league as the Panasonic feature-wise, it still is a great deal. You can get it at this very low price at TigerDirect.com, CiruitCity.com, and CompUSA.com.

3. Sceptre X46BV

Another cheap HD TV model with a 46 inch display. It is comparable to the Sharp, however a bit more expensive. It has a 8000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, four HDMI inputs and a Pc input. At the price of $899 it can be considered as quite a good deal. It is available from TigerDirect.com, CiruitCity.com, and CompUSA.com.

If you are looking for a cheap HD TV, the three mentioned above are certainly worth considering. The Panasonic TX-P42G10 can be considered a definite winner, as it offers mid- to high-end features at an unbelievably low price. If larger displays are what you are after, both the Sharp and the Sceptre offer great value for money. Now it is only up to you to make the choice!
